Our Mission

At the PSA, we are dedicated to building an inviting community where undergraduate students from all faculties can connect through a shared interest in politics, government, policy, and public affairs.

As a departmental club, we benefit from ties with faculty, staff, and professionals in the field of political science. We know how overwhelming it can feel to navigate the field alone, which is why we are passionate about creating a space where students can feel supported and confident in their path through social, professional, and academic opportunities. We help students explore the discipline beyond the classroom by hosting speaker events, competitions, panels, workshops, networking nights, and more.

We are partnered with the Insights Undergraduate Journal in Political Science (IUJPS), where we offer research publishing opportunities and the chance to become involved with the editorial board. Additionally, we frequently collaborate with organizations who share our core values and mission, such as the Global Development Society (GDS), Faculty of Arts Students Association (FASA), and the African Studies Program to host events that enrich the experience of all members on campus. Through our joint efforts, we empower students to explore careers and develop their skills, while growing alongside a supportive community on campus.
